That’s right everyone, you may notice a few changes around the site. I felt that it was time to put a bit more effort into the design of the site. This is the result. As ususal, I tried to keep if very simple, why making it visualy appealing. I took out some of the features from the old site that I feel didn’t work out like I wanted them to (for example the poll). Also, do to Erik’s lack of time, I have removed the game reviews section. While the reviews he was doing were very well-done, I didn’t feel that we had enough reviews up to warrent an entire section for them.
But don’t worry, I didn’t just remove things. I updated a lot of the content throughout the site to reflect my life as it is as of 7/22/2002. I also redid my portfolio (what was my gallery) to display the new projects I ahve taken on. Lastly, I rewrote the majority of the backed to improve speed and preformance. That includes making the site fully XHTML verified. There will be a few more changes to the site over the next month, but I felt that its current state warrents a new version number. So, without further adieu…Forgotten Expanse 4.0 is online!
Yes, yes, I know that I haven’t posted in a while, but I have good reasons. As you may know by now, I got a job to replace my old one that went down the crapper. It is basicly like my old job, only more graphics based. I think this is a good thing because it may help me improve my creative side. I work 10-6 (yay flex hours), howerver it is a 1 hour drive, so I really work 9-7. As you can imagine, this drains a person. Hence my not posting.
I just got back from a large family reunion. It was my grandmother’s 80th birthday, so the entire family went out to my uncle’s house in Ohio for the weekend. Yeah, so we had the birthday party, and then my sister had a baby shower. The men went out to play golf when that was going on, where I got hit in the face by a sprinkler that went on right infront of me while I was driving the golf cart. While out there I got to finish a book I have been reading, Hyperspace. Very good book. We also got the chance to go see Mr Deeds while we were out there. I think it one of Adam’s best movies in a while. That butler guy freaks the s**t out of me though.
Last weekend was mt big LAN party. I was able to cram about 20 people in my basement, all without causing any injuries. It lasted for the usual 24 hours, where many games were played and files swapped. I personaly got about 200 megs more of MP3s and about 4 movies to watch. This should keep me busy for a few weeks. I also found a new game at the part, Worms World Party. Fun game, a lot like Scorched Earth, but a lot better.
Besides those events, nothing much has been going on. Just work work work. Fourtunatly I get to see Jessica every weekend, so it makes my life not so bad. Anywho, I am going to do a small update of the site here and there, so I am off to do that, so enjoy.
